In the world of mime, frontiers do not exist. This art is a compound made up of gestures, dance, equilibrium and the aesthetic evaluation of the feeling or reaction whose expression is sought.

What difference is there between mime and pantomime?
Mime is the expression of the pure gesture, while pantomime, apart from taking as its basis particular facts, is the exaggeration of the gesture.

"The mime artist is naked on a bare stage, and stripped of words and sounds. The body is the only means of expressing and communicating. Imagination and ingenuity must make this communication possible. Perhaps all of this early stage is nothing more than our schoolwork. A school that is living since Els Joglars experiment with very varied publics. The contact with the public and their reaction mean that the exercises evolve and develop, the company develops its school through its contact with the public." (Mester de Joglaria)

The first performance ELS JOGLARS did was in october in 1962 at the Palacio de las Naciones de Montjuic- Barcelona.

The company played several clown shows since 1962 then until july in 1968.
