In
the Greek theatre, ‘Ubris’ signified the unkindness of
fate.
This is a production in two acts of mime and pantomime with voice
and song interwoven.
The show contains ten numbers, each one being interpreted in a different
style: melodramatic pantomime, tragic pantomime, naturalist, absurd,
parody, classical pantomime, etc.
We
can't clarify much about this performance. As with 'El Joc' this play
doesn't deal with literary or conceptual theatre, so it must be the
spectator who reaches his own conclusions, any clarification would
do nothing but limit his freedom of reception beforehand.
We
don't believe that we ourselves are the most capable of explaining
the performance.
We
only need to make clear that the briefest little text in Catalan,
which is used in all the scenes of the play, has no logical sense
as it's only function is expression and sound. We would like the spectators
to be sufficiently free to feel whatever they please, and despite
each person taking away a different experience, whatever the experience,
it will be real.
